DEAR BIRTHPARENT,

The decision to allow your baby to be adopted was not a simple one.  This is an act of selflessness, love, and great responsibility. Our names are Chad and Margiorie; thank you for reading our letter. We know this decision was filled with a rollercoaster of emotion. Our desire is to simply provide your child with unconditional love and lifelong guidance.

Why we want to adopt

Margiorie is a mother to two teenage boys and has always wanted a large family. We both love children and feel our life would be richer and fuller with a child of our own. Fertility issues have not allowed us to conceive our own biological child. Chad himself was adopted and we have always felt a natural pull towards this decision. We are genuinely excited and hopeful in welcoming a child in to our life.

How we met

We met one another in 2001 at a company we worked for in Chicago. The relationship began with periodic conversations and grew from there. Within 1 year Chad left the company and decided to ask Margiorie on a date. Our friendship developed in to love and we married in September 2004.  

About Margiorie ( by Chad)

Margiorie is the most honest and sincere person I have ever met. Her intentions are always good.  This is what drew me to her.  She is my best friend and confidante. Margiorie never passes judgement and always has something positive to say no matter the situation. Plain and simple; spending time with her makes me want to be a better person every day. She is a hard worker and has made many sacrifices for her two sons that most would not have the strength for. Her Filipino background has instilled close knit family values you rarely see today. Together we enjoy entertaining friends and family, cooking, bike-riding, walking our dogs, and watching football. Margiorie as hobbies include zumba dance classes and karaoke of course!

About Chad (by Margiorie)

What I love the most about Chad is that he is reliable and responsible. When he says he will do something, it get as done.  At the same time, Chad is a kid at heart. He often would take my niece and her friend for ice-cream than drive around singing their favorite Miley Cyrus songs with them! Chad as large adoptive family has blessed him with a big heart. He rarely puts himself first while always thinking of ways to help others enhance their lives. I love that he plans surprise activities for us throughout the year like a concert or a weekend getaway. In his spare time Chad enjoys reading, swimming, and listening to music.

Our Home

We live in a modest 3 bedroom 2 ½ bath townhome in the Northwest suburbs. Our backyard faces a quiet residential street with sidewalks on both sides. We are within walking distance of our neighborhood K-8 schools and local Park District Fitness Center and Water Park. Our community is diverse and safe. We have lived here for nearly 8 years and have established close friendships with others in our area.  

Our Family

Both of our families are excited for us to have our own child. Margiorie as mother plans on helping us with childcare since she is only fifteen minutes away. Chad as family is one hour from us but said they plan on visiting for more than just holidays and birthday party as when the baby comes! Chad as family is also excited for the baby so that his youngest nephew (6 months old) can have a playmate.  Our family would not be complete without our dogs. We have 2 lab mixes that we sheltered as strays.  They are roughly 2 and 5 years of age. We also have an older dog that is not in good health. Our younger dogs are playful and friendly with everyone.

Our Life Together

Margiorie and I are hard workers who cherish the simple things in life: family gatherings, weekend getaways, spending time at local dog parks, and just getting outdoors with nature. We like our comforts but do not long for materialistic things. We would much rather spend our money creating memories by driving across the country on a road trip than pining for a bigger house or fancier car. We are humble and appreciate what we have. We also make a great team around the house because we share all the chores. Yes, I clean the bathroom as often as she does! A balanced lifestyle filled with laughter and fond memories is what we hope to impart to our child together.

Our Promise

Your child will be raised in an environment where questions are welcomed, laughter is expected, love is endless, and self worth and discipline come with the territory. Your child will grow up fully understanding their roots and how they became part of our family. We also hope to have a bond with you that will strengthen the confidence of your child.
